Rose Marie Johnson

Graveside services for Rose Marie Johnson, 93 of Kilgore will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Kilgore City Cemetery with Rev. Ben Bagley officiating. Mrs. Johnson passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020 in Longview.

Rose was born on March 26, 1927 in Kilgore, Texas to the late Jim and Ziporah Harris Elder. Mrs. Johnson was a longtime member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by all that knew her.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Tyrus Raymond Johnson in 2016; daughter, Marie Johnson Donald and four sisters.

She is survived by her son, James Tyrus Johnson of Henderson, two grandchildren; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
