Roy Chesley Warlick

Roy Chesley Warlick, 75, of Gladewater completed his earthly journey on November 20, 2023, in Longview, Texas surrounded by his beloved family. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. A memorial service will be hosted by the Warlick family on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from one until three o’clock in the afternoon at 142 Private Rd. 3507, Gladewater, TX, 75647.

Roy was born on May 13, 1948, in Gladewater, Texas to Claudine Bamberg and Roy Edward Warlick. He graduated from Sabine High School and continued his education at North Texas University in Denton, Texas, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in business administration. The Warlick family owned and operated Warlick Grocery and Café. Roy ran the Warlick Grocery and Café for ten years before its closing and his retirement. He was a devoted father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish Roy’s memory are his son Roy Ashley Warlick and wife Hassie of Edenton, North Carolina; daughter Vanessa Lynn Simmons and partner Joel Melvin of Gladewater, Texas; mother of his children and long-term friend Marsha Warlick Petty; siblings Linda Hughes and husband Bill of Longview, Texas, Jim Warlick of Huntsville, Texas and Bill Warlick and wife Carrie of Liberty City, Texas; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In passing, Roy was reunited with his parents, Claudine, and Roy Warlick.
