Roy Dale Maeger

Roy Dale Maeger was born on February 6, 1937, in Duncan, Oklahoma. He passed away peacefully in Kilgore, Texas, on Friday, October 18, 2024.

For 30 years, Roy worked for Texas Eastman until his retirement. Roy found great joy in the outdoors and cherished moments spent with his family. He was a devoted member of Judson Road Church of Christ.

Roy is survived by his beloved son, James Maeger and his wife Pam of Kansas City, Kansas, and his daughter Lisa Dale Russell of New Mexico. He leaves behind five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.Preceding him in death was his beloved wife, Glenda Gaye Maeger, who passed away in 2024. Their bond and shared years together stand as a testament to their love and devotion.

A graveside service to honor Roy's life will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Gum Springs Cemetery in Longview, Texas. The service will begin at 10:00 AM with Tristan Roberts and Chris Maeger officiating. In this time of remembrance, family and friends will gather to celebrate the legacy of a remarkable man whose presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
