Sharon Kay Forth, born on December 21, 1960, in Danville, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2025. Sharon led a fulfilling life characterized by dedication to her career and a deep love for her family.
For many years, Sharon worked in Administration for the Parker-Hannifin Corporation in Nacogdoches, Texas. Her commitment and professionalism were evident throughout her career, earning her the respect of colleagues and peers alike.
Sharon had a zest for life that extended beyond her professional accomplishments. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as fishing, going to the gun range, riding horses and watching college basketball. These hobbies brought her peace and happiness, but what she cherished the most was her family. Being a grandmother was one of her greatest joys, and she adored her grandchildren, Claire, Carter, Landon, and Olivia.
Her spirit is carried on by her loving husband, Stephen Forth, and their two daughters, Stephanie Woods and her husband Kevin, and Shannon Magness and her husband James. She is also survived by her grandchildren, who brought endless joy into her life. Sharon is remembered fondly by her brother, Steve Walsh and his wife Judy, sister, Vickie Spidle and her husband Rick, stepbrother Craig Smith and his wife Maggie and stepsister Debbie Todd and her husband Steve. Additionally, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Connie Forth, her niece, Sarah Hackney and her husband Joel, and her nephew, John Walsh and his wife Nikki, along with many other loving family members and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Henry Walsh, her mother, Paddy Dickey Hale, her stepmother, Betty Walsh, and her stepfather, Bob Hale, stepbrother, G. Michael Smith, mother-In-Law and father-in-law Kathryn and Jimmie Forth, sister-in-law, Judy Shehorn, brother-in-law Charles Shehorn and nephew, Allen Shehorn. Each of these individuals contributed to her life in meaningful ways, leaving a lasting impact on her journey.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend David Hampton officiating.
