Steven Neal Wright was born on October 5,1970, in Longview, Texas, to Martha and Jimmy Wright. He was welcomed home by big sister Lisa (Sissy Gal). Steve graduated from Sabine High School in the class of 1989 where he participated in athletics and FFA. He married Jill Hodges in 1993, and they had three daughters. Steve worked in the oil field as a truck and heavy equipment owner/operator. He was a talented artist and a world class story teller with a perfect memory for trivia. Steve enjoyed working in the shop along side his daddy on his trucks and trailers and relishing in the visits of friends who dropped by. Helping his parents with chores around their house was something Steve took pleasure in and he looked forward to the family lunches they often shared. From early childhood, he was an outdoorsman who enjoyed the land and animals. Steve never met a stranger and counted hundreds of people as his friends, but his family was who he cherished most. Steve was baptized at Forest Home Baptist Church but later attended Pursuit Church.
Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bud and Hazel Bowerman and Howard and Ida Wright; father- in-law Bob Hodges; uncles, Buddy Bowerman and James Wright; aunts Maxine Fambrough, Sandra Carroll and Glenda Moeller; and cousins David Fambrough and Tony Wright.
