Susan Nell Forth Atkins, 67, of Kilgore completed her earthly journey on October 28, 2023, in Longview, Texas. A visitation will be held Friday, November 3, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore and a funeral service will be Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 2:00 pm at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Kilgore, immediately followed by interment at Danville Cemetery.
Susan married her soul mate, Michael Wayne Atkins of Kilgore, Instructor at Kilgore College. The loving couple found great joy in their ten years together, Susan affectionately became Michael’s “Sugarbabe”. Susan was an extraordinary baker and loved to feed her favorite people. Her hobby was creating beautiful wreaths and arrangements for their home, and attending craft shows in the area. Susan spent her lifetime loving her family, nourishing their heart and soul, and building beautiful memories. She will be dearly missed by all.
In passing, Susan was reunited with her beloved parents Freddie and Dorothy Hill Forth, her loving grandparents Odis and Willie Dunn Hill, brother David Forth, daughter Cindy Cline, and Cousin Dana Hill Phillips. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Micheal, with son Patrick and Catie Jimerson, with grandsons Conner, Jaxon & Tucker; daughter Christina & Vee with daughter Ella and son Sullivan; son Jason and Rachel Hooten, with grandsons Caleb & Paige with great- grandchildren Weston, Adam & Amanda and Nathan Hooten; her beloved nephews and nieces; Josh and Nicole Forth with grandniece Alaina and grandnephews Andrew, Faizon & Caitlyn with great-grandnephew Henry; Heather and Joshua Wilson with grandnieces Hailey, Madison, and Harmony; Monica and Randy Cooke with grandnephew Damon, grandnieces Amanda & Stephanie; cousin Steve and Sharon Forth and family, and many other beloved family members and friends who will miss her until reunited once again.
Special recognition is given to the Surgical ICU staff of Good Shepherd Hospital for their valiant and loving care for Sugarbabe.
