Tim J. Jones

A Memorial Service for Tim J. Jones, 75, of Kilgore will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at ten o’clock in the morning at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore with Brother Ken Davis officiating. Mr. Jones completed his earthly journey on July 22, 2024, in Longview, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.

 Tim was born on October 23, 1948, in Snyder, Texas, to Rosemary Hodnett Jones and Howard Jones. He attended Synder High School. After High School, Tim enlisted in the United States Navy. He bravely served his country in the Vietnam War. During Tim’s career he worked for Mosby Mechanical for over thirty years before his retirement. Mr. Jones enjoyed working with his hands, he could fix just about anything. If you asked him, he could fix anything. Tim also enjoyed making art and welding. Tim was a devoted brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend to many. He will be deeply missed.

 In passing, Tim is reunited with his parents, two siblings, grandson and great-granddaughter.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Shad Jones and wife Crystal of Kilgore and Pennye Jones and significant other Kelly Kimbrell of Kilgore, mother of his children Debra Browning Ekrut of Burnet, Texas, siblings Aubrey Jones, Karen Stewart, Bobby Jones and Vicki White all of Snyder, grandchildren Eden Jones of Kilgore, Isaiah Jones of Vietnam and Timothy Perry of Kilgore, great-grandchildren Lynnix Barnett of Kilgore and Kreed Barnett of Burnet, Texas. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members.
