Vickie Corine Martin

Services for Mrs. Vickie Corine Martin, 73 of Liberty City will be held at Kilgore Memorial Gardens Friday, August 11, 2023, at ten o’clock in the morning. Mrs. Martin completed her earthly journey on Monday, August 7, 2023, in Kilgore surrounded by her loving family.

Vickie was born on August 9, 1949, in Moorhead, Minnesota to Roy F. Poach and Ethel Wilson Poach. After graduating school Vickie continued her education, completing her Licensed Vocational Nursing Degree. She married the love of her life Jerry Martin of Liberty City on April 15, 1968. They shared over fifty-five beautiful years of marriage. Mrs. Martin worked as an Emergency Room Nurse for twenty-four years before her retirement. Vickie found joy spending time with her family, caring for others, and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia. Mrs. Martin especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jerry Martin, her children, David Martin (Dana) of Liberty City, Steven Martin (Kim) of Kilgore, and Wendell Martin (Jonna) of Liberty City, mother Ethel Baker of Kilgore, brother Doug Poach, grandchildren Autumn Martin, Summer Martin, Steven Gaddis (Jeri), Daniel Martin, Joshua Daniel (Brittni), Cassidy Daniel, Abby Fyffe (Payton), Caylen Martin (Heather), Ashley Hartfiel (Zach), Zack Martin (Sonya), Brandon Martin, and Hayden Hayes, numerous great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many other loving family members and friends

Vickie was preceded in passing by her father Roy F. Poach, and son Frank Anthony “Tony” Martin.
